I went and did it!

I ordered the RCBS Rock Chucker Master kit, RCBS hand primer tool, RCBS 44 mag carbide dies, 44 mag brass, and some Hornady XTP bullets. Now what other gadgets and accessories do I need???

I'm sure I'll keep you veterans busy with questions so please bare with me. I'm not a complete newbie, just haven't reloaded in about 17 years. I'm really looking forward to getting back into reloading again.

Congratulations. You are gonna enjoy it.

Did you get a scale in the loading kit ? Loading blocks ?
Obviously you need powder and primers. I would go with 2400 but I am sure you will get plenty of other faviorites.

Oh, and you will need something to fire the ammo out of.

Congrats PA longbow!

How about some safety glasses and maybe two or three different loading manuels. A tumbler wouldnt hurt either! Load and shoot safe..

I just got the same kit for Christmas. The master kit includes a primer tool. It mounts to the press. Also comes with the 2 different tubes. (lg & sm) & tray. You might want a primer pocket brush, but will definitely need a quality caliper, if ya don't have one already.

PALongbow,

Now you've gone and done it!

From now on you'll be looking for just the right charge of just the right powder under just the right bullet! You'll be spending an inordinate amount of time pouring through reloading manuals, catalogs, and cranking out ammo.

To make matters worse, you'll probably spend the rest of your time at the range. I'm telling you, this leads to no good. It becomes a habit that you just can't shake. Your boss will fire you because you'll spend too much time at work ordering dies and bullets and browsing online catalogs. The next thing you know, you'll be at some busy intersection with a cardboard sign - "Will work for brass."

Quit now, before it's too late! Repent!! There's still time!!!

Have fun

Its Christmas in February! I just received my RCBS Rock Chucker Master Reloading Kit today. I went to the sporting goods store today and got everything I need to reload some 44 mag. rounds.

The only things I would like to have now is a tumbler and a good caliper and then I should be set for a while.
