Grabagun
I recently ordered a new rifle from Grabagun. I entered all my info, card number and receiving FFL. Received confirmation all was good. A couple days later, I checked on the rifle to see if there was any shipping information. The order was canceled and my funds refunded, but no explanation. I won't go into all the back and forth, but they had decided I was a "fraud" buyer, and reversed the order, refunded my card and never made one attempt to contact me or my card company. Mind you they had all the correct contact info and the money! How, or why they did all this is beyond me. I never received an explanation or apology, and if I wanted to do any business with them, I had to jump through hoops to prove I wasn't fraud. And, although I have called and emailed them to quit sending me sale emails, they continue after 2 months

The same thing happened to my brother-in-law. I have had no issues with grabagun.com though and have made many purchases from them.

The lack of notice or communication is what bothers me the most in your story. Being alert to possible fraud is, unfortunately, something that all businesses have to deal with these days, and the refund was prompt, according to your chronology. Why they would make no inquiry or effort to resolve their doubts and complete a sale is beyond me, though. What kind of "hoops" did they ask you to jump through? Taking some extra precautions if they think your or their data is compromised wouldn't be unreasonable, because doing otherwise can get expensive.
But again, making no effort to contact you to resolve an issue indicates to me that they don't value their customer very much. |

Most times it is an issue with the card issuer. I have had this issue with one of my cards. There are some merchants that card will not work with. Such as Grabagun, and silencer central. The crazy thing is I can use the same card for a local sporting goods stroe and it works fine.

The point is, if you get money from a buyer, they are not fraud. They would not give me any explanation nor apology. They told me there was additional steps I had to take if I wanted to do business with them. They wanted me to do all their work for them, to correct their flawed system. I've no problem with my card. And they never made one attempt to contact me, my bank or my FFL. Its like they just shot me the bird and never looked back.
