Trilux Scope - Restore or Don't Restore???
I am thinking of purchasing a Trilux Scope that works ok, but whose finish is pretty badly worn. What I would like to do is strip the paint off of it, prime it and paint it a black that looks similar to the original finish. I want it to look at least as good as the FAL I intend to mount it on.
Should I do it? Or, leave it alone if I acquire one? |

I'd just paint over it.

Depends on how good the deal is. Looks like a lot of small parts to mask and a hard to sand, if that's something your comfortable with and good at id go for it. If not id pass or look at a wrap like gunskins. https://a.co/d/iQKd5qQ

A wrap would be a good idea, if it were black. But, that scope is not like a regular scope - lots of crevasses seems difficult.

You hit it with a heat gun or hair dryer, gets soft wraps and stretches real well. I think they have a weathered black and a black acu camo
