CZ 600 Trail handguard / barrel removal

Does removing the handguard / barrel cover on a CZ 600 trail has any adverse effect on the function? Also: Does removing the barrel require a re-zeroing of the optics each time or does it produce an at least acceptable consistency?

Thanks for sharing!

Simon
