Fixing a Feeding Issue on My Argentine 1911 – New Video!
Hey everyone,
I just uploaded a new video on The Hobby Gunsmith where I tackle a feeding issue with my Argentine 1911. I tried to share as much detail as possible while keeping in line with YouTube's firearm policies—since this falls under repairs rather than modifications (at least in my view). That said, YouTube's policies can sometimes feel a little gray, so I’d love to hear what you guys think about the video! I always appreciate the support and feedback from the community, and I’m constantly working to improve my video quality to bring out the best content possible. Let me know your thoughts—whether on the repair process, the way I presented the info, or anything else that could make my videos better. Thanks in advance, and I hope you enjoy the video! https://youtu.be/gLx5PbpgAWU?si=5D8p_BY4CTKW4nF-

Cool video. Most 1911's need a "jump" from the frame ramp to the barrel ramp. I like to see about 1/32 inch there.
For what it's worth, that isn't a 1911. It's a Ballerina Molester! (Ballester Molina)

You're absolutely right about the importance of that "jump" from the frame ramp to the barrel ramp—it's crucial for proper feeding. As for the Ballester Molina, while it’s often mistaken for a 1911 variant, it’s actually a different design. It was heavily inspired by the 1911, but it lacks the grip safety and uses a different fire control system (more like a Star Model B). That said, it still shares a lot of characteristics with the 1911, especially in how it looks and feels. I was a little worried that I might’ve left out too much info in the video, so I’m glad to get some feedback. Always looking to improve! Thanks again for watching!
