Drive by Postings

Is it just me or have there been a bunch of drive by postings lately? Like post election. Not just here but all gun forums.

Is this democrats thinking they can jump on and talk the talk and then bail when the next cannabis special drops in their text messages?

Some of the questions are legit and need pondered, but please come back. Engage us a bit. Most of us are decent!

I cannot tell what the cause is. Is it that they view this as a post and run place like facebook?

Can we start giving the OP 10 responses to respond and then shut their account down? I don’t know if that even helps. Maybe kill the threads??? Not sure. Do we need a rule that you have to participate in 5 threads before you can start a thread?

Feel like we get treated like a search engine. they post, get their answer, and bail.

We are not here for them. We exist to provide conversation with the other engaged participants.

If you see what you believe is a drive by posting, please report the post and staff will make a determination.

Nothing nefarious, just this. And it's not new. It's always been that way

I often GOOGLE firearms related questions and threads on various firearms forums almost always come up as sources. Sometimes here. I can usually find my answer and links to other sources without joining another forum but I'm sure that some need further information and join simply to ask another specific question.

Look over the member list. The vast majority of members here have posts in the single digits. Even many who have been here 10+ years.

Slow moving site from what it use to be .

Some of us have a few more than that...

Under our rules, a drive by posting is one that has nothing to discuss in it. No questions to examine and possibly answer, or a link with no explanation or other information about what it is and what it contains.

Some one posting a question, getting an answer and never coming back isn't a drive by, by our standards, though it is a bit rude and unfriendly.
