I have no idea, but my understanding is that factories do not "lube" their new rifles, they use a preservative grease. While it has some lubricating properties, it is not intended as a lubricant, but as a preservative.
New guns may sit on the factory or dealers shelves for a couple years or more. Often less, but sometimes more even a lot more, if the specific model and caliber aren't all that popular. SO, the factory uses a preservative grease, expecting and instructing the user to clean it out and apply a proper, correct lubricant before use.

Based on a lot of recommendations, I started using Mobilgrease 28, which is made for aviation. I got little syringes with pointy tips.
