Picked up this Unique Rifle at auction
I was able to win the bid on this odd, muzzle loader at auction. Its kinda like a mules ear but the hammer / striker slides forward to hit the cap. It has a cocking lever on top beside the tang. The stock is Walnut. It has a T/C Hawken .50 Cal barrel and I don't believe the breech plug is T/C. Its very interesting to say the least. The hammer / Striker spring is weak and has almost no power. I took some measurements and called Wolf Springs. They had the spring I need and are shipping in out monday. Have any of you ever seen anything like this. I would love to know who built this thing.

Interesting contrast. Real engraving and wood trigger guard. The latter could be seen in some Jager rifles. I'm also curious as to who made it.

I'll get some better pics of it outside when I get it back together.

It's probably a gunsmith build.
