Brazos bullet problems

If you have any Brazos bullets, you might want to double check them with calipers before loading.

I have bought 5 batches of bullets from them, 15lb each, 9mm, about 820 per batch.

First batch I ordered was 0.3560. I measured several, they were spot on. I ordered more and did not think to check

My 4 most recent batches, ordered in 0.357, all with labels stating 0.357

Make sure to double check yours if you have any. Will be contacting Brazos tomorrow.

the results, all should be 0.357...

I’ve used them for years in many pistol matches. Never had a problem. Great bullets.

Good to hear. My first batch was on point, I ordered .356, and I checked a bunch, and they all measured correctly. These last 4 batches at .357 I got were all out of spec.

Sounds like they just grabbed the wrong bags by mistake. Understandable mistake given how crazy things have been. Notice however how consistent the bullet sizing is (even though they grabbed the wrong size). They are good Bullets and a good company. I’m sure they’ll make it right if you contact them.

Ehhh, the labels in the bags all said .357. That is also only a sample size of 10 out of bags of 820.... Also pretty sure these are being made to order, not grabbed off the rack, as each order has been backordered by 2-4 weeks.

Gonna call them tomorrow, hoping they can get me squared away. I have around 2400 of them currently and was hoping to be able to shoot them....

.355" and .356" are normal diameters for 9mm jacketed and cast respectively. Either should work ok though.
"...being made to order..." Not likely.

I heard back from Brazos. They apologized and said there may have been a mix up during the swaging process. They said they will be replacing my order with the correctly sizes bullets as soon as they can.

For reference, Should work and did work are not the same thing. This is my barrel after less than 50rnds, from a clean barrel....
