.44 cal, 240 grain truncated flatpoint?????

I was in a gun shop today and saw loose packed .44 cal, 240 grain truncated flatpoints, apparently FMJ with a cannelure. They were in zip locked bags, no maker, possibly bulk purchase, repackaged for small lot sale.

Can anyone say who makes this slug?

Could they have been plated bullets instead of a true FMJ?

I had some bullets like that a while back, I think they were Sierra, maybe their silhouette line.

Loose pack bulk, repacked for small lot sale can mean the bullets are "factory seconds".

mystery solved

Disclaimer(s):
-my eyes aren't what they used to be
-the packets did indeed say" .44 cal. 240gr truncated"

BUT......... I returned to the store and there were some loose slugs in the bin. The clerk let me have one. It sure looked big, but those labels said .44/240.
I weighed one....350 grains! Then I miked one my cheap digital caliper and it went .459. Sure as shootin' NOT a .44 slug. I ran a file across the nose, it sure did seem to be a true full metal jacket, base fully enclosed, not plated, but it ain't for a .44 mag.

Thanks to all who pondered this......
