Bolt release modification on a Savage 10/110?
Can a Lawton style bolt release be added to a Savage 10/110 like it's commonly done to the Remington M700?

I would venture a resounding NO. The bolt release is totally different and the Savage uses part of the fire control parts as the bolt stop.

I understand this, but I still think something similar could be designed. It might have to slide instead of piviot like the Lawton. With some of the new DBM bottom metals the bolt release in the trigger doesn't work well either. I'm by no means a mechanical engineer, nor do I have the tools or skills to even try to fabricate something on the fly to try.
