Mak-90
Hey all
Just wanted to share my recent purchase, and what I think was a pretty good deal. Just got myself a Chinese MAK-90 AK, all matching numbers, slant receiver and thumb-hole stock for $550. Bore is pristine, buttery action, mags lock up tight, better trigger than i expected. No bayonet lug though. Im going to replace the stock with a us palm pistol grip and a galil-style side folder, and probably down the road throw an ultimak on it. Would you say that was a good deal?

Any day you acquire a Chinese AK variant is a good day. Priced right.
Buy bullets and magazines first. Get a lot of each. Practice. Then once you know what you have in hand, begin your transition, one piece at a time maybe... or if you're wallet is thick, buy all your parts and do it full goose bozo (make sure you're 922r compliant in all things).

Great rifle. I like Mak 90s. Congrats on the score and a good price.
I agree with the above poster to skip the cosmetic changes and buy mags and ammo first. |
