Sierra 95gr hpbt matchking 243 Winchester

Anybody have the latest sierra manual and willing to share the page with this bullets load data? Looking for hodgdon h4350 powder start and max loads in particular. I have many other manuals but none with this bullet listed for the powder or weight.

Split the difference between other 24 caliber bullets at 90 and 100 grains in load data for them. That'll work just fine. Start low then work up.

Hodgdon's website offers data with H4350 and a 95gr partition bullet. The solid copper band in the center of the partition doesn't make it a good proxy for a match bullet, but it falls in line with the trend of 5 grain increase in bullet weight = about 2 grains less powder max charge. I think the soft point boat tails are a better proxy for the match bullets, but the thinner jackets on the match bullets should make them "slicker" going down your bore.

90 GR. SPR SP Hodgdon H4350 .243" 2.625" 42.0 3039 44,400 CUP 44.5 3185 50,600 CUP

95 GR. NOS PART Hodgdon H4350 .243" 2.650" 39.0 2917 45,800 CUP 42.0 3087 50,500 CUP

100 GR. SPR BTSP Hodgdon H4350 .243" 2.650" 37.0 2806 45,100 CUP 40.0 2973 51,000 CUP

Based on this, I think that the 39.0 grains to start, and 42 grains max, should give you plenty of room to find an accurate load.

I am in the process of shifting over and testing some H4350 with 85gr SGKs since Varget has been unavailable for the last 12 months. I haven't tried any yet and am wondering about other people's experience with it. I shoot 85s and 100 grainers.

Have you run any tests with it since your posting? I've heard varying opinions of H4350 but I use it to drive 130gr TSXs at 2970fps out of my semi auto 270 Win and it produces decent (1 MOA or less) groups.

Let's hope the Great Powder Famine ends soon!

That Sierra 95gr bullet just little longer than Berger 95gr VLD and both rec a 1/9 twist barrel. Jimro load is pretty close to Berger 95gr VLD which is
38gr/H-4350 @ 2722fps max 42gr/H-4350 @ 2984fps.
