Do any of you guys know if I can use the Lee classic loader in 44 Magnum to load 44 special brass as long as I use the correct powder weight.

Thanks, Hardcore

Maybe

Do not know for a fact but if you have the classic loader try it out and measure the finished product with calipers to see if it matches the 44 special. I know that the 357 mag works with the 38 special or at least I have loaded both and it worked before I could afford a good press and dies.

I might have a 44 mag classic loader at home and I will try to remember to drag it out of storage and read the instructions. If it does I will try to send it to in a pdf file.

"To Load for the 44 Spec., you only need a new powder measure and charge table."

I pulled out my 44 Magnum Classic Loader and the instructions did say "To Load for the 44 Spec., you only need a new powder measure and charge table."

So you are good to go using it for 44 special....The instructions was Copyright 1975. The powder measure was #108 Red color. The Lee yellow powder measure used today is metric and not cubic inches or whatever the red was. Oh, the price was only $10.98.
