The 2004 Alliant manual lists 5.3gr Unique as max for the 125gr JSP in .38spcl...
My Hornady 4th manual lists from 4.5gr to 5.0gr Unique... Here's a link to the Alliant 2004 Manual PDF....38 Special is on page 42: http://glarp.atk.com/2004/2004Catalo...ntPowderSM.pdf The site is slow sometimes... |

You don’t need to mach load data to a specific bullet manufacture. You can use the same load data for the same bullet weight. The following web sites have load data for the powders you are using and weight of bullets. Start light and work up.
My pet load for 125’s and Titegroup is 4.5 Jacketed (Min=4.3 Max 4.6) and that’s out of an old Branny Fife Colt. Also try some lead, try Penn bullets. They have some 125 TCBB that are extremely accurate. http://www.pennbullets.com/38/38-caliber.html http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloaders/default.aspx |

I think that most of us were intelligent enough to understand what he meant. There’s a famous saying, “If you don’t have something positive to add,,,,,” |

6.0 grains of Unique or SR 4756 will give you A+ loads.
