Repainting the Lee Loadmaster

I'm repainting my Lee Loadmaster the same color as a Dillon to settle a dispute with a buddy of mine. I KNOW this might make a few of you upset, but I can just imagine that he'll be off of his rocker for quite some time. Please don't judge me..... What is that color called?

Dillon uses "Old Ford Blue" to touch up presses that they repair - or so I've read.

Haha! I don't know what the blue Dillon uses is, but I am chuckling. I don't think anyone would be upset.

Shooowee, was I sweating bullets waiting to hear all of the gripes! Thanks for keeping it civil. Old Ford blue it is, and you'll bet that I'll post pictures. I nearly rolled out of bed when I thought of this last night.

Also you could use a stencil and paint

Dillon/Lee

550 Lee LM

For me I care more about it working, and getting the job done more than I care about who made it, or where it was made for that matter.

Dang, now I'm obligated to do this right! Painting 550 LEE is funny.

I do agree though about functionality. My ammo goes bang and so does my buddy's. I paid less for my Lee, and in turn I have to work with the quirks, but I don't mind at all. The more time away from my lady the better, when she's not helping, that is.

Powder Puff Baby Blue.

You need to paint it a manly color like....Red/Green. (I loved that show until they ran out of good ideas)

I remember that show (Red/Green) it would tickle my funny bone, till my wife had it removed.(LOL)

Great idea, let's all paint our Lee presses blue and post pictures (I really do like red better, but don't tell anyone.)

My advice: give Dillon a call and tell them you wish to paint a Lee press in Dillon colors. Call it an upgrade. Ask them what color they call their blue and request a can of their paint.

On the opposite side, give Lee a ring and explain your plans. Call it an upgrade.

Record the reactions.

You can’t spray paint while it’s raining. The paint will blush. Dang kids don’t know anything these days.

Along with the pictures, will you write the reason this would get to your friend and his reaction?

Sounds like the perfect joke to pull at The Possum Lodge.

Repainting the Lee Loadmaster

Paint it pink...
I'd contact LEE for a new paint job.

If you choke a Smurf Blue Lee press , does it turn red?

I agree with Uncle Buck, we need to hear the back story on this
