Need help finding a part!!

Hello!

After spending a morning on the phone, I have come to the conclusion that I MAY have to send my Chipmunk rifle out to a Smith to have a bolt built.

Following a rather nasty divorce, I recieved my firearms back from my ex father-in-law, who had them stored while I was on Active Duty. However, during my absence, the bolt to my son's first firearm, a Chipmunk .22, went missing. The ex f-i-l says he has NO clue where the bolt went, so, now I have a firearm thats basically unusable. I called Crickett, Inc., who bought out the Chipmunk model line, and spoke to a host of people there about the missing part, and, NO ONE could find me a replacement part. In fact, one of the manufacturing foreman said that they do not have that part in their inventory.

So, does anyone know where I can find parts for this great little rifle? Or, how much would a shop charge to actually make me a bolt? Its a shame that this rifle is unusable...I have a stepdaughter that I am getting into the shooting sports, and, this rifle would be perfect for her! Any thoughts you may have would be greatly appreciated!

This is for the single shot .22 LR I don't know if that will work, but I ordered some parts for an Arisaka bolt from Numrich and was very pleased. Good Luck

Thank you!

Very much for those links!! I thought I may have luck with Numrich, but, as it turns out, they are SOLD OUT of the bolt assemblies.....I've contacted a local gunsmith to see what he will charge. Somehow, I'm thinking the bolt may cost me more than the gun is worth...

Try contacting Numrich to see if they are permanently out of stock, or if it is just temporary.

There's always the option of picking up another Chipmunk as a parts gun. In the long run, that may be your best option as other parts may break or get lost. I'd think that an entire rifle would be less expensive than the cost of having a bolt made.
