I've shot both 124gr, and 147gr XTP loads in 9mm. Excellent Personal defense round.

I use it in my G26 on top of the BlackHills 124gr JHPs, one round in each mag.
I've never used Hornady's in a p11, but I don't forsee any issues with it, either. To the OP: are you using the p11 as your only ccw or is it a backup gun? |

I use 115 for practice.
How much did they cost? Most of the ballistics tests that I've seen on the 115 has them under-penetrating - like in the 10" range. I don't know how the 115gr XTPs perform, but I'm thinking I would categorize them as just really expensive practice ammo for me. On the other hand, there are some compacts and sub compact micro-matics that only like a certain recoil impulse. If you have a weapon that likes 115 but not other stuff then the XTP may be your best bet. |

This was my rational... I use the XTP in my 10mm as a woods round.. as a hallow point it is known as a good penitrator. since the p-11's like the 115gr i thought this might get me to 12 inches penitration with moderate expasion.
