Reloder 17 & .308

Favorite recipes?
Accuracy loads?
Best bullet/powder match-up?

Wanting to begin experimenting with RE-17 and "book" values are still hard to come by. Alliant gives recipes for 150, 165, 180 (BTSP) bullets. What have you tried and how did it work?

Too slow for me. A 150 at 2743 compared to almost 2900 with RL-15 or Varget.

Ya sorry I was very lucky as a new reloader and found a load some one posted here that is very accurate with my 308, its 43 grains if IMR 4064 and a 165 grain bullet. I do however use a magnum primer since that was what I could get at the time. But it out shoots me so I have not messed with the load.

it might be slow for a 150gn bullet.but it sure pushes a 208gn A-max well.

if you do ot mind recoil.tyr it with a 200gn - 220gn bullet.but start with a ladder test at 44gn of R17 working up in .3gn increments watching for pressure.
