question on reduced loads
New to this forum and would like to know if anyone has tried a reduced load in a 221 fireball rifle. If so what power and bullet?? Thanks

The reduced load I used in my 221 Fireball pistol was 8.0 grs SR4759 under a 45 gr Speer bullet. Make sure that you either dedicate the brass to reduced loads only or only use the brass for ONE reduced load only. The problem is that there is so little pressure that the force of the firing pin acts like a hammer against the base of the brass and will create a situation where the head to shoulder length will become shorter. That creates an excessive headspace problem when going back to full loads and head separation can occur.
