Can anybody out there vouch for Powder Valley Inc for reloading supplies?

Yes, they are a good outfit. The only downside is that they don't provide a lot of chatter to let you know what is going on.

They are first class. Two things they do that I appreciate. They will hold in-stock items until the backordered items are received and ready to ship. They will ship powder and primers together.

Both of these items save me shipping costs.

Did a big group buy from them a few years ago. Very pleased with the results.

Good folks, but I have had to wait for powder up to a month before. They're great if you don't mind waiting a week or more.

Guys,

Thanks for the votes of confidence. I usually do business with Graf & Sons, but they do not have what I need right now. Soooo, I decided to try Midway. Imagine my surprise when the total tally included $25 Hazmat for the primers, AND $25 Hazmat for the powder, AND $21 for shipping, AND $10 for some other crap I didn't even bother to read because I was so disgusted. I may use Midway in the future for things other than powder/primers, but they will certainly be the last resort for future purchases.

Another satisfied customer.

I had a lot of communication with them on my last order,

UPS went a bit nuts with half of it, lost it for a couple of days, then returned it to Powder Valley.

We had great communication through it all, after I notified them of the problem. They got a track on it, got it back, repacked it, and sent it via fedex.

FedEx will NEVER leave anything without my signature. Even after I signed a waiver.... FedEx:barf:

EDIT: In all fairness, it might just be the driver. He seems like he could be a moroon. LOL

I buy most of my powder and primers from PVI. Three or 4 orders over the years with no problems. The last one was about a year ago.

I placed a $1000 4 person order with them 2 Fridays ago, order arrived last Thursday. Total shipping was Just under $50. I buy all my powder and primers from them. I knew we were getting close to the 48lb limit on our order gave em a call told what I had ordered they said you are at 41lbs so far so I ordered 2 more pounds of powder and 2000 more primers.

I have been buying powder, primers and bullets from them for the past few years. No complaints and a very competitive price.

I get stuff from them too. I called them for one order to check the availability of a specific bullet that wasn't in their online inventory, and they found 6 boxes of them that weren't in the inventory. Does that count as "above and beyond?" Made me a happy customer.

My only order with them was packed really well and arrived quickly. I'd definitely order from them again.

Did you ask why? 25,000 primers and (2) 8# jugs of powder are able to go in one box for one hazmat fee

Someone will correct me if I'am wrong. I think the reason for the double Hazmat was because midway ships them from somewhere else not their warehouse. I almost ordered powder and primers from them once thanks to the posts here and reading the shipping info I didn't

Another happy Powder Valley customer here... just received a $1800 order, 86#s of powder and primers. It took about 2 months to get the order together and shipped. But I was able to get 50k primers at $25/k. I can rarely find primers localy, and when I do, they're overpriced. Order in bulk and the hazmat fees aren't that bad

In response to the positive posts I decided to order from Powder Valley. I got the exact same stuff I was going to get @ Midway and I saved $40 on shipping/HAZMAT, and their item prices were cheaper as well. Their processing time was in line with most other companies as well (I already have a tracking number). If it shows up in good condition I will be a happy customer.

Still awaiting my order or powder and primers which was placed on May 20, 2010. I am glad they hold until they can ship the entire order. I think the primers (both small and large pistol) are the delaying factor.

Yeah ... I think there has been an influx in 'summer buying' for a lot of folks. I have a IMR 8208 XBR - 16# order that has been placed since 01 June, and I haven't heard anything yet either. They'll get it to you.

The lady told me to check back every couple of weeks to see where I am in line. I haven't checked since 05 July, so I might call this week.
