I think Alliant has load info with OAL for that bullet in their online data at http://www.alliantpowder.com
I strongly prefer Alliant's Power Pistol for full power loads. However, Hodgdon also has some online data at http://www.hodgdon.com The JHPs I load are usually 230 grains, so I don't have any personal experience with the 200 grain XTP. Mike |

This is a case where going to the source is wise. The Hornady manual says that bullet should be seated to 1.230" COL.
The most efficient full velocity load listed by Hornady is with Winchester WSF. 6.3 grains to start and 7.7 grains maximum. Power Pistol is 6.9 grains to start and 8.5 grains maximum. Most economical load listed by Hornady is Tightgroup with 4.8 grains to start and 5.9 grains maximum. All these loads are 800 fps at the minimum from a 5" barrel, which is probably what they consider minimum for expansion? 1000 fps at maximum for the first two powders and 950 fps at maximum for Tightgroup.
