Flitz Paste in Bore?

Has anyone ever used Flitz Metal Polish to clean their bore? I overheard someone talking about using it today, and he said it's the best thing he's ever used for polishing his barrel.

He also said that after the first use it cuts down on cleaning time from then on out.

Anyone here use it?

I have used several types of polishing compounds to polish barrels, including Flitz. It does seem to cut down on fouling, but has little effect of accuracy.

Seems to clean up easier to me as well.
Stil haven't made a rig to do rifle barrels short of running a cleaning rod MANY times down the barrel.

Flitz, Simichrome, etc. can be used to polish a bore. You simply must use a cleaning rod and full strokes. These polishes are abrasive. Using a drill will round the edges of the lands.
They can also be used for occasional cleaning, but don't use them often-as the effect would be the same as shooting thousands of rounds through the barrel.
