HK USP Elite

Hi
I want to know how good is the HK USP Elite in 9mm. How many of you have it or used it? What are your views on it and what is it intended for? If match or competion then, where does it stand compared to its competitors?

I had it in 45 caliber. I didn't like it. It was too easy to move past the off-safe position to decocking. It happened in a club match twice. For over $1000, there are a lot better options out there.

I also shoot the .45, not the 9mm. It is by far the most accurate centerfire pistol in my inventory.

I paid $1004 for my new AH dated Elite. It is a spectacular target gun, no doubt. If you want one for strickly target use, then yes, it is worth it. There are few guns in that price range that will be it's equal. Those that are as good, as accurate, usually cost much more.

It is not of suitable size for some of the defensive competition events, so I wouldn't advise buying an Elite for that, but as a target gun is is excellent.

I have one, and it is a very nice range gun. It just isn't a carry gun. Mine has a tendancy to throw the brass into my forehead, so I wear a cap when shooting it. For the first 200-300 rounds, the slide would not go into battery (over the O-ring) for about 3-10 per fifty shots. The more I shot it, the less this was a problem.

Mine is a 9mm. The 9mm is harder to find in the US than the .45.

here is what an Elite can do

Weltmeisterin IPSC Ladies Standard Division 2005
Deutsche Meisterin IPSC Standard, Open und Production 2005
Europameisterin IPSC Ladies Standard Division 2004
Deutsche Meisterin IPSC Ladies Standard und Production 2004
Deutsche Meisterin IPSC Ladies Standard, Open und Production 2003
Deutsche Meisterin IPSC Ladies Standard und Open 2000

oups, that was a Expert, not and Elite that she was shooting when she won all those.
