XS front sight on my 640?

I have a 640-3 and want to know if the XS front sight (like those found on the M&P340) can be installed?

They don't specifically list it on thier site, you'll have to call them.

I called S&W and there answer was no. However I found http://www.xssights.com/store/handgun.html that shows a 640 with the Big Dot.

If your 640-3 has a pinned in front site then it can easily be done.

Good news and happy days

I just dropped off my 640 to Mag-na-port to have the XS Big Dot installed (S&W told me it couldn't be done

) and Im having some action & trigger work done while its there.
