Lee Classic Handloader

Anyone aside from me put together some very accurate loads via the old Lee handloader? With the additions of a case trimmer, primer pocket cleaner, steel wool, flash hole deburrer and case mouth chamfer, what more do you need? I read somewhere that the 1000 yard record holder used one of these up until a few years ago. Any opinions???

Some of the shootin'est ammo I ever assembled has been with the Lee "Zero Error Target Model" version of these loaders. I used them in 220 Swift, 22-250, .308 and .243. I also have one in '06, but never used it.

Lee Loaders are awesome, but, like anything else...the end result reflect the skill level of the user.

I started with one of the originals in 7mag in 1965. Used a double pan balance that was discarded from a chem lab. Made some of the best damn ammo I think I have ever made. Upgraded to a Rockchucker after I set off a primer while working at the kitchen table.....Wife didn't like the sudden loud noise!!! I still have the kit!!

thanks guys....yeah of course I have the hammer, calipers and digital scale, but for case prep, those tools I mentioned are all you need. I even neck sized for my Browning BAR with the Leeloader, when everyone out there said that I had to full length resize them. I think it helped that I was neck sizing belted 338 win mag ammo, where the belt may control the headspace, not sure, but I shot dozens of those reloads without a hiccup of failure to chamber. Also, if the bullet seater nicks or leaves a ring on your fancy pointed bullets, write to Lee and send them one of your bullets, for $12.00 they will make you a custom bullet seater, tailored to fit and drive your bullet.
