Help with ruger model 77
I have a ruger model 77 pre 1991 and the bases are not machined into the rifle as they are on the mark II, I know that weaver makes top mount bases to match the rifle but what size will I need. Any help or any other suggestions to make it work would be nice. thanks

Just saw this in an old Gun Digest I was reading last night. Use Remington 700 bases for the round top Ruger 77, with corresponding action length/cartridge size if it's a one piece base setup.

It doesn't matter - use two Weaver bases (front/rear) for a Rem 700.
