Lee Safety Primer Feed

I'm using the Lee Safety Primer feed system with my turret press. Works great.

I always heard that Lee only recommends certain primers for their primer feed system. CCI (any size), Remmington (SPP) and Winchester (SPP). (page 85 in their manual)

Now after reading their website (and their reloading manual, page 86), it sounds like they are refering to the Lee Auto prime II, not their Safety primer feed system. I've been hand priming my Magtech and Federal primers. It looks like I can use any brand with the Safety Prime feed system.

For the record, did I read that correctly? I'm safe to use any brand primer with the Safety Prime feed system? I believe so.

Lee Safety Prime.

You are correct.
Any brand of primers can be used with the Lee Safety Prime. It is safe because the actual priming operation is remote from the priming dispenser.

Thanks

Yes, I read it correctly. I'm using the Magtech primers now. Makes it a lot easier to load. Thanks.
