S&W Model 915
I'm trying to purchase slip on grips of neoprene for my model 915. Is this considered a medium frame handgun?
What designates the small, medium and large frame? Damn that sounds like an ignorant question, but I want the specifics. |

I know Hogue makes a set for the 5906, I have a set installed - the 915 is basically the same. think it's classed 'large frame'.

Hogue calls a 915 a 'full sized' pistol. They list 5900 series rubber grips for $24.95. Their product number 40010.
"...What designates the..." It's the size of the frame. |

I wouldn't recommend the Hogue grips unless you have extremely large hands. I've stayed away from them as the stock grips on my 5906 fit my hand well, and have read from many others that the Hogue are thicker than the original grips, and make the grip size too large.

I will be ordering a set of grips for my 5906 next month--Crimson Trace Lasergrips. They will also fit your 915, if you haven't looked into them--you should. Here is a link to their website: http://www.crimsontrace.com Good luck and enjoy your S&W 915.
