Winchester/remington; winchester/cci ?
What would you guys/gals use for brass and primers? I'm shooting 22-250,25-06,270, and 300 ultra mag. Thanks!

I use differant powders for differant rifles / loadings. You're gonna have to try differant primers & brass that fit your gun and loading. If you change any part of the load then you should start all over.

HI,
Like Kraigwy said if you change "anything" start over at the min, and work up. I really like Laupa if you can get for the caliber you are reloading for. It cost alot more but for me it is worth it. I think you can get some really good loads using the Winchester also just a little more prep work. |

Good brass...
Furtaker--Agree w/J. R. Burke; Lapua brass is great. Right up there with it is Norma brass. Get one of these and no brass prep work, just start loading. The new Nosler brass is supposed to be in this quality range but have seen no user reports on it.
Primers--now that's problematical these days. There seems to be a current shortage of primers, leading to the use of whatever comes to hand. For rifle reloading, my own preference is for CCI BR primers, but I'm fussy. Last edited by Smokey Joe; March 8, 2009 at 03:28 PM. Reason: Clumsy wording. |
