Even Dies are out of stock!

As is typical of me, I am a getting into the reloading game at the worst possible time. I am am struggling to find Dies even! I need 9mm and .45 acp dies, preferably Lee or RCBS and I am not having alot of luck finding them in stock anywhere. Anyone have a good nugget on where to find them, and maybe a lead on some cheap bulk bullets (not lead, shooting Glocks among other things). I'm sure you guys don't want to give up your honey holes but help a new guy out will ya!

As is typical of panic buying rushes such as this, finding equipment is going to be tough. You are definitely late in the game.
I have seen alot of die sets on eBay lately. Just go to the reloading area. People realize that die sets are sold out everywhere, so many are going on eBay over MSRP.

I've seen quite a few on fleabay going for reasonable prices, the over-priced ones usually go unsold...unless people are willing to pay a premium. I have had no problems getting dies from Natchez.

I haven't had any problems finding dies. Heck I got a set of full length RCBS .223 dies a couple weeks ago.

Midway has Lee 45acp four die sets in stock, as of 03/05.

I have not seen that reloading die sets in common calibers are especially hard to get.

I would check the usual web sites. Midway, Grafs, etc.

Components seem to be harder to come by than equipment.

I ordered a set of 308 Win Reloading dies from Cabela's about the end of January. They were backordered until 2/25. Just got a notice that they are now backordered until the end of March. Same at Midway.

If you are willing to pay the extra $$$$ you can order directly from Lee. I ordered a shellplate carrier, 3 hole turret and some 38spl dies directly from Lee and got em in 4 days. You save a little bit of money with Lee's cheap shipping charge. So as a last resort you can go to them.

then when you do actually get your dies... you can have a hell of a time finding everything else that you need to reload em.

Yeh, I don't know what's going on but ANY and all components are in short supply in South Texas. I decided a couple of months ago to replace my old Lyman .38 and 9mm dies with carbide. they were showing wear after many years and I wanted to skip the hassle of lubing and extra cleaning (so much for all those jokes aobut how many guns Texans have - - - - - they do, but they're out of ammo)

it took my about a month to find a set of each in carbide just kept checking in with local gun shops as I passed them Finally found both of them at the local Bass Pro Shops on two separate trips

I had tried ordering from MidWay, but they were back-ordered with no date

having the same problem with all other components so when I come across something like of bag of fired 9mms, I buy it right there

guns shows used to be a good source we have 2 that come through town about once a month, but all they sell is factory ammo now------and at a price that is more than I could get it from the local shop (I think the shows charge more because they don't have to "ask too many questions")

By the way, the earlier comment about buying from Lee was right on had I just bought them from Lee I would have had them sooner and the shipping would have been offset by the fact that Bass Pro is not the cheapest place in town
