95 vs 100 gr Nosler Partitions in 243

Over the weekend I picked up some 100 gr Nosler partions in 243 caliber to load for my 700 24" bl with 1:9 twist rate. I meant to grab the 95s, but before I return them I'm wondering if folks have done any load comparisions between the two weights. My load will be for mule deer under 250 yds and hogs under 150 yds.

I reload the Nosler 100 grain partition for my wifes .243. I never compared it to the 95 grain, but I would stick with the 100 grain. Just my opion but I think you got the right one, with a well placed shot. She shot at two deer last year, and got both of them. The first one was a buck she hit it behind the front shoulder, and went completely thru the deer. Looked like it expanded perfect. Went about 35 yards, and fell over. She then filled her doe tag took a neck shot and no doubt went thru both sides, and dropped right on the spot. I think the .243 is o.k. for deer with the right bullet, and a well placed shot. Like I told her if it is not a perfect shot pass on it, and she did on a few before she got the two. I had them loaded with RL-22 at 3000 f.p.s. bigger bullets in the .243 like slow burning powder. Nosler has there load posted on there site.

I have used the 100gr in my .243 and also used the 100gr hornady interlock with great success. They penetrated really well and dropped everything on the spot.

One time i shot a full grown billy goat approx 70kg running away from me. I attempted a texas heart shot. The bullet entered the rear end and exited somewhere from the throat. Instant death. Shot was taken from 150yd approx.

The interlocks are a lot cheaper too.
