Remington UMC ammo - "metal case"?

I have some Remington UMC 9mm ammuntion... on the box it just says "metal case". It LOOKS like brass to me, but why wouldn't they say "brass" instead of "metal". It makes me think it is some other sort of metal that just looks like brass, or plated, or something like that... does anyone know what the "metal" cases in UMC really are?

I have seen that before too on some ammo makes, FMC, or TMJ instead of FMJ.

I just came to the conclusion that it was the same.
