DIY nickel plating

Anyone do it themselves? That kit at brownell's looks tempting.

I think I have the parkerizing down and would like to try something new.

Look at Caswell plating's electroless nickel. It's cheaper, and works very well. Of course, metal prep/polishing is everything.
