Who Parkerizes?

I am trying to get started, but I am a thrifty person (read: cheap B@$t@#d).

What are some cheap alternatives to buying a prefabbed stainless tank? My first gun I did in a crock pot. The Crockpot heater didn't heat it up enough, so I used my propane burner to heat it up and it cracked. I've seen pyrex used, but I cannot seem to find any the right size.

I have priced stainless and to fab it myself would cost upwards of $50 using 14 guage. What would be the smallest recommended guage for heating to 200?

Parkerizing

For pistols, I'd go go a restaurant supply house and buy a used stainless steel container. They're usually really cheap. For long arms Parkerizing Tanks.com on ebay is the cheapest. Brownell's is the best, however.
