185 grain flat nose

I have trouble getting these to feed through my 1911's. Manual says OAL 1.185. Have tried various OAL's always same problem. these are generic copper plated bullets. Happens with the Hornady as well. Any info or advice?

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
If it doesn't work by then, do something else. There are some things just not worth the work and worry and getting a gun to shoot one oddball bullet is one of mine. I tried hard to like plated SWCs but had no better luck with them than you do the flats. Get some roundnose and go shooting. I eventually used up those plated SWCs by using them to top up the gun for IDPA but with RN in the magazine.
