Mossberg 100ATR Bolt Gun
Mossberg has come out with their first rifle, a bolt gun , and is available in .270 or 30-06, named the 100ATR. I would like to hear some views on this product if any of you have had a chance to shoot or own one. A freind plans on buying a new bolt gun for his kid and asked if I thought it was a quality gun to purchase. Do any of you think this rifle is of good quality and worth purchasing.

There's a lot of good reviews on it. By all accounts, it's a good rifle and a very good value. I'd still get a Savage Stephens over a Mossy 100ATR. $30 more, but a better rifle overall. I'd get a 100ATR before a Rem 710 though.

A buddy of mine bought one for a "truck gun". It was nice, and shot well, but I would get a Stevens long before I got a Mossy. IMO, it is more gun for about the same money.

They are decent looking rifles. If they are anything like their pump shotguns, then I think we are in for a good rifle.
