Webley 455 to 22 lr conversion OK for 6"?
OK. I have a WWI 455 Webley. I am wanting one of Numrichs' 22 lr conversions. My 455 has a 6" barrel and the conversion denotes it is for 4" 455s. Anybody know what the difference is?

I would guess that they are supplying you with a sleeve for the barrel. It will only be 4 inches long (maybe a little over to allow for fitting), if they specify it as a 4" conversion kit. You might be able to use it in a 6" gun, but it will have the muzzle recessed by 2". I don't know how much of a problem that would cause.

I is a sleeve. I really am wondering now. Those 45 single actions have 22 lr inserts for each chamber. My thought is that a 2" recess might not be a bad thing. It would increase cleaning needs. Hmmmm?
