InterArms/Walther P38
I was wondering if someone could post some links or tell me about this gun. Right side has InterArms Alexandria, Virginia. Left side has Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do. Modell P38 lV Cal. 9mm. Made in W.Germany. I also have the serial if it is needed. I'm trying to find out how old the gun is and/or how much it's worth. Thanks!

You have an export version of the Walther P4. This particular model adressed the issue of the P.38/P.1 not being compact enough.
The barrel on your P4 is 4.3" and the slide is also slightly shorter. There is no top plate nor signal indicator pin as found on the P.38/P1. The top of the slide is round. Though not rare in Germany, importation was limited by Interarms. I'd hang on to it. Your serial number should be between 606968 and 607419. You can see there are not many in the U.S. |
