Help please, carry gun has a problem!
Got back from a range session with my carry gun, a stock Norinco 1911. After cleaning, and before putting the slide back on the frame I noticed a rattle, more like loose metal, in the lower (frame). It seems to stop when you depress the grip safety, and it stops when you put the thumb safety on and press lightly on the trigger. So I removed the mainspring housing, the grip safety and all but the trigger internals, still a rattle. So I assembled the gun, put the slide on, did a function check, all worked perfectly, except the rattle is still there.
Any opinions from smiths out here will be appreciated, I have benched the Norinco as my carry gun until i can figure out what is going on, hopefully it is nothing major. |

It sounds like your trigger to me. I'd look at it but I don't think it's a problem. 1911 triggers should move freely. George

Tape the trigger to isolate it. See if it rattles. If not, like George says, no problem. BTW, don't forget to remove the tape when you're done.

Just to get back to all that answered with their help. Took the Norinco to the gun doctor, he assures me the problem is the trigger, and it is normal according to him. Thanks again to all the took the time to help me out.
