I must have WAY to much time on my hands

Has anyone put together one of these "build your own derringer kits"? Was it difficult? I was thinking of getting one just to tinker with until the ATF eventually gets around to sending my C&R with my new address on it, but wasn't sure if they are as useless as they look like they are. I'd probably never shoot it, just suffering from tinkering withdrawl.

Never put one together, but am angling to...a pepper box, a cutlass, there's a whole collection of actual useless beauties that might be fun to shoot on the odd useless afternoon. Still, the pleasure of tinkering and assembling...
