BP barrels for T/C Contender?

Greetings. Does anyone have info on BP barrels for the T/C Contender? I believe they used to make 209x50 bbls for Contender, but now make them only for Encore. Did they batter the frames that badly?

I know Gonic makes BP pistol bbls for Contender. Are they worth the money?

Does a 14" bbl lose so much velocity that it's not even worth using on deer?

I have a Contender and would like to take advantage of the BP season for deer in Oklahoma, but don't know where quite to begin. Any advice appreciated.

Can't give details, but my brother has one for his T/C and it's not the modern Encore but the older Contender. I think it's 50 cal but I'm not sure what the twist is.
