Data 2200 powder for 308?

Anyone ever use Data 2200 powder in a bolt action 308 case. I see there is a load for it, just curious. I'm currently using Varget for the 308, have a Data 2200 jug left that I was using for my AR25 reloads. Opinions, please!

I will admit that Data 2200 is a new one on me. Never heard of it.

I have used it in a load for my FAL. I bought a ton of it when it was $200 for 32 lbs. It worked pretty good, but I think it is a little fast for the .308 as my velocities were only about 2650 fps. with a 147 gr. M-80 bullet. I swiched back to H335 and am saving the 2200 for my .223 loads. YMMV.

I think www.powdervalleyinc.com has some 2200 for 47.00 per 8 pounds--i wish they'd run out so i don't feel like i have to order some each week.....

The lit that came with the 8# I got from Natchez reloading ($52.00) said it was for small case ammo ONLY and .308 was as LARGE as was allowed

Incdeed it IS more suitable for .223 and 7.62 x 39 -size cases. I use it with 150 gr cast gc bullets for SKS
