Winchester Action Pistol
Anyone have some good loads for 45 ACP using this powder?
Especially for the 200gr XTP on the "warm" side?!?! I normally use 10.2 of Blue Dot or 9.6 of AA #5...TIA... |

I never used it in .45, but loved WAP in the .40 and 9mm and... something else, maybe.
Loved it. Cussed Winchester when the discontinued it. It couldn't give me what I wanted in .357 Mag, though. What's with this Ramshot story? What kind of verification do we have? It seems to me that if it wasn't profitable to Win through their own distributor pipeline, selling a few huge lots per year to Ramshot for repackaging *might* not be profitable either. |

...don't know...
The load data appears to be identical...If it stays the same through the weight spectrum, I wouldn't mind having a few lbs of it...I lucked into 3 lbs of the WAP and frankly...I can not believe the accuracy of my current loads with this powder...They've been good with some others, but...these shoot to POA, are clean, and cycle perfectly...On top of everything else, it takes LESS of the WAP to get a similar loading to the other powders... So...if I can get a bit more, or something that duplicates or betters it, I'm gonna' be pretty happy... ![]() |
