Anyone use .38-40?

For hunting or for Cowboy Action Shooting?

I don't use the .38-40 but my son uses his Winchester 1892 and Winchester 1885 for deer hunting. Where we are a long shot for deer is 50 yards....drops them at that range. He uses his Colt single action for plinking.
I do the reloading. He dosen't have time for that.
Nice cartridge.
