Nickled 10mm brass source?

Getting kinda low on my nickled 10mm brass. Anyone got a good source for this item?

Ok, why nickeled? It always seems to split sooner, and in addition, can wreck a set of dies.

I shoot nickled (i.e. Remington UMC) in my autos and "regular" brass in my revolvers. The indoor range I use is often crowded and the nickled cases are easier to pick out in all the other brass on the floor. Since I have started shooting nickled only in my autos I have gone from less than 50% recovery to more than 80%. For me, the nickled stuff seems to last longer and also seems much easier on the dies as it resizes with much less effort on the press handle.

Fair enough. Identification is a good reason, but I still think that a nickel case could scratch a die if some grit gets in...to each his own.

Now, as far as the cases go, try Wideners:

Now the question is: Is the nickel worth the $30 extra over the $100 that I just paid for Starlines?

Well if my loss ratios continue then after three trips to the range I would have lost 82% of the Starlines and only half of the Remmy (yes, I am quite bored at the moment) so it seems to be worth it financially but I ain't no bean counter to be sure so my math may be flawed. Thanks for the link.

Alternately, you could spend $25 one time and buy one of those nifty brass catchers.

Or spend $5 and use an aquarium net.

yup, that is what I hate about my auto's is brass going everywhere. I just can't see myself wearing a net on my arm while shooting though

Glad to hear the nickel stuff working so good, cause till I get the funds for some Starline I'll be using some nickel stuff.
