Dust/Dirt/Powder and your chrono?
I'm considering buying a chronograph (probably a Shooting Chrony). The problem is that I do most of my rifle shooting prone in the NV desert. As you may know, everything gets dusty in the desert.
So, how suseptable is a chronograph to dust, dirt, and powder? I have no problems spending the time cleaning it, if it can be cleaned. Will excessive amounts of dust cause reading problems? I would guess that it is a go/no go situation. -Red- |

i don't know how big a problem it is
but shooting chrony does sell plastic dust/powder/shotgun wad covers that cover the sensitive part of their chrony, or you could probrably tape a clear sheet of plastic over the little openings, and do the same thing
Good luck |
