Yep. His response was way overamped. And for some clarity, I have an old Hornady manual that refers to it as 45LC.

Then the new ones I have say, oh no, there is no such thing as 45LC.

Ok, now I have to look at some of my other old books. 71 Sierra calls it LC and the Speer does not.

Look at the head stamp on your cases. I'm not aware of anybody stamping them LC unless some of the foreign manufacturers do it.

I've got you beat, I have .44s and sometimes I call them .44-40s and sometimes I call them .44 WCFs.

Those are actual names. .45 Long Colt is not.

Yes it can. I don't see called 45LC that as some crime against humanity.

Some of us grew up with different terms. My take is give it a rest, everyone knows what is being talked about.

I have 44 caliber revolvers (BP) and they are really 45 caliber. Yes the mfg is following the original conventions. Do we take Uberti and Pietta to court? Make em stop? Sheese.
