Got my C.A. .38 back yesterday. Note says gun bench checked fine with no binding. I have two 30 second videos of it doing so, one was emailed to them. Anyway test firing showed it was spitting lead. They found the crane/yoke to be out of spec and the forcing cone needed reaming. Test firing afterward says all ok. My gf and I are taking it to the range this weekend. Will report back.

The gun performed as it should at the range. Not a Smith and Wesson J frame or Ruger LCR, but acceptable for an entry level econo-gun. The trigger most definitely needs to be completely let off of between double action shots or it ties up the action.

I like my bulldogs old and new style. Course I like my Smiths, rugers, colts, freedom arms etc. I have told people for years that I wished some company could make a higher quality bulldog. But I have no issues with my charter.

I understand the 3”Classic Bulldog is built with extra care. You might want to check it out.

Have it come apart with specialty ammo or handloads and I can guarantee you that you will be on your own, if they are aware of it.
I don’t give a rats patoot what others shoot or carry but get tired of hearing about second rate firearms being equal to or better than top shelf pieces. Some of this stuff may preform as well as top shelf, if it does it’s not going to last. You can also get a lemon in the good stuff, but they are few.
Actually they will replace a blown up gun no questions asked. One poster said they even told them it blew up on a reload suspected of a double charge, they replaced the gun. Yes they are built to be inexpensive but far better than the Italian copies or Heritage, etc.

I have the CA 45acp and 9mm versions. Super fun guns to shoot
After many hundreds of rounds shot at tennis balls in the Gulf of America
nary any issues
