9R PTR 608 Question

Hello all,

I just purchased this rifle and I am experiencing an issue. Being I live in a state where I am only able to use 10 round magazines the stock mag was replaced with 5 MP5 polymer 10 round mags. My first time at the range and the mags aren't feeding properly. I have to firmly press up from under the mag to chamber each round individually. After one mag I stopped as I didn't want to force to the point of possible damage. The rifle has been used so it's not a "break in issue". I've experienced similar issues with other rifles (TNW .40 cal ASR when using a S&W rather than the Glock mag due to forgetting said mag on range day, worked but not optimal). My assumption is the mags are a little short. I'll add a photo of 1 (I have 5 all the same). Any suggestions are much appreciated. If I have to I will contact TPR but if I can resolve myself I would like to. It shoots extremely true with the iron sights and it's a beautiful piece but this issue is stopping me from real use.

Magazine Specs:

ETSGROUP.US
MP5 9mm
10 Round

Thanks!

The rifle failed to feed unless you pushed the mag up. How exactly did the cartridge fail to feed? Did the bullet go into the chamber at all? A picture of the misfed cartridge will help.

MP5 owner here.

the polymer mags are trash.

This is what you need. Get ready for some sticker shock though...

Well Willie it ain't buying the farm but yeah basically I need something LEGIT MP5. Will buy one (which I am pretty certain will work, bought a SCCY .9mm pistol same deal , was sent 2 new mags and a recoil spring (didn't even use) and that was the issue). If one does the job I will grab a few. I will sell these polymers. I probably won't add "these are trash" in the title lol. I can see the wear an tear on them from very little use and do concur. Living in a non friendly firearm state we run into this kind of nonsense often. Thanks for the link! If it doesn't help I will post more (same if it does as I did on the SCCY thread). Thanks guys!

Yes Willie that did the trick. not cheap but H&K beats the heck out of those polys. Hopefully I can now offload the 5 I have and pickup a second mag. And BOY is this PTR a WONDERFUL rifle. I just had me some close to midnight just me at the range time and ACCURATE is an understatement. I would LOVE to see this with a SEAR and the fun switch set to F! =)

Glad you got it working and a new mag was an easy, if not cheap fix.
